The first hydrogen bomb was constructed by the United States.
President Truman ordered the construction of it, and it
was first tested in Eniwetok in the Marshall Islands. It was
announced that the bomb, named "Ivy Mike," vaporized
the entire island, and would be of much use in following
wars.

was a civil rights activist and launched the early years of
the Civil Rights Movement. The day she refused to
obey the rules of Segregation is now known as Rosa
Parks Day, and is on December 1st. Rosa Parks
was an inspiration to many and is considered a hero
